Peptide Name: R15K, HIV-1 Inhibitory Peptide; HIV (gp120) Fragment (315-329)
Structuire: RIQRGPGRAFVTIGK
M.W. 1655.97
Notes: H-Arg-Ile-Gln-Arg-Gly-Pro-Gly-Arg-Ala-Phe-Val-Thr-Ile-Gly-Lys-OH This peptide derived from the V3 loop of HIV-1 IIIB gp120 efficiently blocked HIV-1 IIIB infection of several T-cell lines and of normal human T cells. It also blocked syncytium formation in human cells. Moreover it was capable of inducing HIV-1 specific cytotoxic T lymphocyte responses that could effectively kill virus-infected cells and could thus find several therapeutic applications.
